This thread is about lusting and your profile says you are a male and you have a female in your avatar. I do wonder if you are one of those people...

I just fucking love how you change your standards like that. You challenged me to find somewhere in the bible where it said that Jesus drank wine. I found one for you and now you are denying it altogether. Just face it, I did win your challenge and I won an argument over the internet. You just can't go around demanding something and when you finally get it, you come up with some kind of excuse.

Oh yeah and I see that you chose to read it from a different bible version and use that on me. Face it, I did find somewhere where it said that Jesus drank wine, you failed to specify whether it was forced or voluntary. You were very vague on that.

I copied and pasted that from that link I gave to you. I didn't change anything.

No need for foul language. The different Bible version you are referring to is the King James version. It would appear that you didnt recognize the version which would also indicate, in my opinion, that you aren't familiar with scripture at all and most likely googled Jesus and wine in an attempt to find something.

This isnt an arguement as you call it. I never demanded anything. I offer no excuses. I offered facts as written in the scripture. I don't believe that Christ was forced to drink anything. The Bible is clear that it was given to him, He received it. It never said he drank it.

I shall stay with my belief and understanding. I wish you well and have a blessed day.

John 19:30 After Jesus had taken the wine, he said, "It is finished." Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.

Explain that huh? It does very well hint that he may well have drank wine then and there.

I'm sorry but my Bible does not say that. I don't know what version you are using or if your quote actualy came from any Bible or just an internet site.

Anyways, make it a good day.

It doesn't say "After Jesus had taken the wine and become sloshed out of his gourd".

Also, the KJV says: (from your own link, obviously you didn't read it)
"19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

You're confusing partying with a practice of worship. There is a huge difference. Eucharist (Holy Communion) at church involves wine (sometimes substituted as juice) and bread, but it's entirely different than going to a club and taking shots of vodka while gyrating to music. (unce unce unce..)

From your same link:

John 19:28-29 Explanation

The pain grew so great that when Jesus said He thirsted, the Roman soldiers at the foot of His cross offered Him a brew of "vinegar" or sour wine mixed with myrrh as a sedative. Jesus refused it, knowing He had to suffer pain as part of the picture of what sin does in our lives: It causes a lot of gruesome pain!

Just because it has the word "wine" doesn't mean it is what we think of wine today.

and Paul ^ is correct too.

Wine back than did get you drunk or being intoxicated as a sin wouldn't be in the bible, obviously he drank it also, but he never got "intoxicated" which is the key point, it shows that taking alcohol, drugs, smoking reefer, etc is wrong because they alter your state of mind (consciousness/conscienceness) does not mean you can't drink every so often because it is healthy, or smoking to help your eye site, as long as you don't mean it to get high, w/e
