This is a problem that many new converts and long time christians have different beliefs on.

simple answer: nowhere in the bible does it EVER IN ANY PLACE say that we are completly to stay away from anything involving sex, drinking, drugs, or anything else you may find to be Unholy. it simply says that we are to take them in moderation.

that doesnt mean you can snort 1 line of heroine instead of 2, it means you can take perscription drugs in order to save yourself from disease

this doesnt mean you can get drunk, it means if your not hindering anyone elses walk with God, theres nothing wrong with cracking a bear after a hard days work.

doesnt mean you can go screw everything that moves, it means that sex is a completly unsinful act when committed between a married man and woman.

How about the issue of homosexuality, fornication, and beastiality? The Bible clearly states it is sin; therefore, wouldn't you want to completely stay away from it if you were going to obey God?

homosexuality and sex are different topics both adressed at different times in scripture

when i say it doesnt discuss sex being a sin i'm refering to it being between a man and a woman.

Since Catholic Priests seem to like alcohol, drinking is not against G-d's Will

just bacause catholic priests like alcohol doesnt change or alter the law, a catholic priest can get stone cold drunk and it doesnt make getting drunk any better.

since they do it the Roman Catholic Church doesn't frown upon it, thus it is not against G-d's Law
