Okay, now seriously what the heck. Even Njaguar is now spamming my topic. You could at least have the courtesy of replying the first post.

Please, everyone, don't go off-topic anymore. This happends to be a delicate subject for me.

You're asking a question which kinda defines that discussion going on on here. Religion vs ?? ( take your pick, lets say science for now ). You're asking yourself if its worth while devoting your life to religion instead of something else made by mankind ( which i prefer since i can actually relate see and communicate with those )

If you're just looking for another christian to "rekindle" your faith .. i suggest you sit down with a priest and explain how you feel.

You seem to have alot of confusion in wether or not to follow the religious road.

First off you will have to decide for yourself which road you want to follow.
Because christians will try to convince you god is the way. "science people" will try to convince you the opposite.

Hope this helps a bit.

Believe me, I've been through few phases in my life, such as being a nihilist, satanist, atheist, occultist and almost anything you could imagine.

But none other has brought me such happiness as christianity. Wheather God exists or not is not the point, but rather does believing God bring you happiness.

Therefore, I really don't give a damn if God really exists or not, as long as believing him brings me comfort, safety and joy, I'm all fine with that. :)

For not sounding completely selfish, I'll ask something from you: What do you believe in? What's the main source of strenght in your life?

Hi greydoom.

I have found that the true test of faith comes when we question our faith. So to me it seems like a good thing that you are in doubt because at the end of it will come knowledge. I think that we can not find out what we truely believe without going thru a challenge and to me that is what living a life is about. At the end we will find out if god exists but untill then we must do our best and be forgiving of others and ourself when we do not live up to that standard. If you are looking for something like you say to fill that place in your being then I would suggest you go looking for it. It's looking for you and if you want to find it you can.

Good words! thanks :)

I think you're right. Before you can find the answer, you first have to question it.

thx

Ask Jesus to help you with your faith, and read about your spiritual armor in Acts

You shouldnt believe in god to get you something. You should believe in god so that You can give him something. Its about him, Not you. Not trying to make you out to be someone thats just a holyroller. But you just have to have faith. You just have to love god. You have to know jesus came and died for you and all. I dont go to church so that god will make me happy when i leave. I go because its me praising him....all about him.

I love god = I'm happy.

That's what I'm saying.

You shouldnt care about what your getting out of it. Its great when god spreads joy and love in our lives, But thats a biproduct of his love and our faith with him. You have to earn that feeling. You have to earn his love.

AMen to that brother, i also do have faith that he exists,

Theres no mathematical equation on how the earth was made and gave life to evolution. It aint no 1 +1 = monkeys, Gotta be creation, its jsut my belief and faith

You're talking as though monkeys were created instantly lol with no regard to thousands of years of evolution. Just because a math equation can't express a monkey, doesn't mean it is soley in the realm of believe and faith.

Maybe those other things that didn't brig you as much happiness as Christianity is due to the fact you didn't *truly* believe in them in your other phases or whatever.
