This is a topic that I have a strong opinion about. I am non-denominational and am just focused on loving God and seeking Him. This doesn't take away anything from the religions that have all of these tradtitions because that is what they enjoy and I have no problem with it. For me, I just stick to the text of the Bible and talk with God through prayer and try to put myself around others that feel the same way.

I am open to anyone else being any denomination and even believing whichever religion that they so choose. If they would like to know about my Jesus then I will tell them but I will leave the judging up to the only One who is capable of judging.

My entire family is Lutheran and I was raised in that way. I went to Lutheran and non-denominational churches through high school and college, but no longer attend church.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope that your family didn't push you away from religion by forcing you to go. That is what happened with me until I recently decided that I want to do this for me now.

Well, yeah, they kinda did. I never enjoyed church partly because I was always forced to wake up on Sunday mornings and attend. But honestly, I would have decided to not go to church at one point or another. I never became absorbed in the whole church atmosphere. I realized at an early age that even if my parents didn't force church on me, I wouldn't have accepted it anyways. Organized religion works well for some people, but I'm far too logical and free-thinking to just accept possibilities with blind faith. I believe in god, but my definition of god is far different than your definition of god.
