well, see the problem is that most people would say believing something like evolution to be 100% true means you don't believe that the Bible is 100% true, since the Biblical account of creation is about God creating man and that would pose a pretty big problem to Christianity since it is based largely on the Bible being true.

There is absolutely no reason why Science and God cannot coexist with eachother. Maybe the Earth did take millions of years and maybe it did happen through the big bang theory, but God is the one who made all of that possible. The bright star over the 3 wise men when Jesus was born, Science narrowed down that the star that the wise men saw was actually a star on the very last stages of life before dying out, the last stages meaning that the star blows up, which causes a massive, bright light in the dark sky.
There is no need to take sides, both sides can coexist within each other. I forget who has this in their signature but:

Evolution happened and is still happening. That does not make the bible wrong. Who is to say exactly how to interpret the bible? Some people interpret the bible 100% literally and others do not. They can still both accept Jesus as their savior and be Christians. Science and religion should coexist, not be at war
CPK and Bean, you guys just prooved exactly what I was tryin to proove. You dont have to be Christian and interpret the bible 100% for what it says. It upt o you how you interpret it, its up to you what parts you believe are true.
Doom, this is just a random thought but, have you ever played the telephone game when you were younger? You sit in a circle, one person thinks of something and then it goes around the circle and when it gets back to the person they say what they really htough and then they say what ended up coming to them? If you did you would know what came to them as not the real message, it was a distorted version because it got lost in translation over person to person.
Do you think that over the thousands of years where the story was told, some parts of it could have gotten a bit distorted?
Have you ever read the book "Inherit the Wind"
