Think whatever you want, but don't make up your own stuff and present it as Biblical fact to someone who's trying to learn how to be a Christian when you have no Scripture to support your views.

I did post scripture.

A little update:

I've been praying a lot, and every time I talk to my girlfriend it's hard, but I ask Him to give me strength. I feel honestly like it's working. It almost makes me a little upset, since either this is actually real or I'm just being trolled by placebo. I know I probably shouldn't have noticed a change so fast, but it honestly feels much easier getting through the day without feeling constantly sad. I'm going to ask her if she wouldn't mind letting me come to some of the meetings in the church she attends.

I also have noticed something strange. I normally don't listen to Hillsong, but I have done this 2 times for the last 3 days while praying a lot, and I get chills while I do it..It's pretty absurd. I'm pretty pumped up about this now to be honest. The skeptic in me still tells me this is all just placebo though, so it's pretty hard convincing myself...

Yes, it's a good feeling. I just usually only gets it when I see bands live or play live myself, and I don't really like Hillsong at all (at least I didn't); but I get these chills when I do listen to it.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I find Hillsong to be relaxing though.

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." - John 5:39

^^Feelings aint faith. If you live them, youll die believing a lie..

"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." - Romans 1:17

^^So why dont you try and trust that instead of Christianity and all such religious fakery? - All you need is a King James Bible with Strong's concordance, you can browse them online for free. The Strong's is used to understand the translation.
>> Read the gospel of John, then the book of Romans, then the book of Genesis and finally that of Revelation. If you understand the language and believe it, youll be able to read the whole thing without any problems- its all that's ever needed to know.

I'm not quite sure if I understand what you're saying (not a native English speaker). Can you explain?

To my "progress": I'm attending my first meeting after I decided to try this out either today or on Sunday. I'm pretty excited but also very nervous, since I've always been stamped as an atheist (I've gone to Christian schools for the 4 last years). I'm looking forward to it.

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good." - Psalm 53:1

^^There's no such thing as an atheist. The most depraved God-denier is at best a fool who doesn't fear God.

"18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"

^^Its simple. No cult membership or meeting will ever make you understand the Bible or the scripture; you need to read it yourself. Religious organizations do the same thing atheists do; they will always deny the doctrine of scripture and replace it with their own teachings to fit their agendas.

We have to be vigilant of people saying stuff about the Bible because they do not always quote it accurately.. Reading it isn't hard once you understand the language- especially in English by using Strong's concordance and Easton's Bible dictionary.
^^If you're lazy to read, there is a few audio bibles in different languages. You can listen to them for free on many Bible distributing websites- and I can P'M you a few if you're interested. You can work from there to try and get accustomed to English.

Went to my first meeting today (on my own initiative that is without having a task to do), and it was great. As I said earlier, the pastor is my ex-girlfriends father; and he either saw me coming to the meeting and said things that would fit my situation, or what he said just fit perfectly all randomly. He also said during a prayer that if there were someone in this room who hadn't accepted Christ yet, they should raise their hand (we had our eyes closed). I raised it, and when he prayed after that I really god this insane feeling in my head. Pretty absurd.

On the personal side I'm having serious issues handling this breakup thing. I hope it will get better. I took a step in the wrong direction and said that I've changed and all the things I would do if she gave me another shot... Then the pastor sent me a message that he wanted to call me this week, so I hope I'm not getting yelled at lol. Life ain't easy.
