The thing is, we don't know the translation of the KJV to be the most accurate, most greek/hebrew words translated have more than 1 word, where in the English language we have one word. Doubtful it will ever be 100% word for word accurately translated. Like you said, no translation will get it "perfect". The Holy Spirit guiding us reading any translation will decipher for us what it means, regardless of version. I just feel like I have to be on my "A game" when reading the KJV. When I read I will read a few pages and realize I have no idea what I read (usually when reading the Bible its a little better than that cause I pray prior and try my best to stay focused and usually get so into it). But when reading the NLT I can just sit back and read it without having to think super hard, etc.
This /\ I feel more on my "A game" this way.
I'm starting to read a section and then go back over it and pick through it. Reading it the way I talk is easier to understand and I use my KJV next to me to see the difference in text.
