where else would you get your information about christianity? from the bible, obviously.

I don't believe what man says if they just say it without even reading the bible or even refering to a scripture. Thats just completely dumb. I mind as well make up my own bible and call it christianity lol

The bible says hell is very real and so is heaven. Remember what Jesus said to the Theif that was beside him right before he died? Luke 23: 42-43 "Then he said, 'Jesus remember me when you come into your Kingdom.' Jesus answered him, 'I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.'"

Can you post a reason why you think that everything the Bible says is 100% true? Unless you're going to cite the Bible itself on this, there is no way to tell whether it's true or not. Your argument is that the Bible mentions hell, and therefore, hell exists. There is absolutely no way to verify this. And I personally don't even believe that it is true in the literal sense, but has a deeper meaning behind it, which I explained in post #16.

By the way, you say that you could write a Bible and invent new Christianity. That's true. It has happened many, many times before, and all of these events have contributed to what the Bible is right now. It's an extremely important and valuable book, but you should read it with an open, and critical mind.

I wouldn't call myself a Christian in that sense of the word then. I'm just somebody wants to know things about the world, and who happens to get inspired by the Bible. In fact, there are millions of people like me. Most religious people I know in RL are like me; we put believe into science and uncovering the past, while also believing in God. Everybody is free to believe the way they see fit, and if you're going to tell me that I can't do this, then you're being completely disrespectful. Just like any non-religious person is ought to respect your point of view, you are ought to respect mine.

tolerance is one of the biggest problems in todays christianity and within the church.

" oh your free to do this i guess " " oh its rude to do this " " oh i dont want to hurt someones feelings "

the truth of th ematter is. your either for god or against him. your either a believer or you are " anti-christ ".

anything against god is Anti-Christ and you are apart of the Beast.

this verse exactly. you cant just pick and choose what you want to and not follow from the bible.

everything is in there for a reason ( gods perfect will ). if god didnt want something in the bible and didnt want it to be interpreted a certain way, im pretty sure our almighty god would've changed something, dontchathink?

there shouldnt be any of this " respect my view " stuff..... this is how people go about being decieved and starting pagon religions..... misinterpretation and disbeliefs in certain aspects of the bible....
