God has a plan for everyone's life. I'm not sure where the scripture reference is to this. But I sure what like to see some so I can confirm that this is true.

Here's a couple :

The word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I chose you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." -- Jeremiah 1:5 (n.i.v.)

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." -- Jeremiah 29:11-13

I think people are born and they just choose to go down the wrong path. There is still a purpose in their life that God has assigned to them, but most people won't pursue it and find out what they need to do or even fulfill it.

I agree with this.

lol?

Thats not what christianity is at all. Thats just what alot of churches teach, which is completely false. No where in the bible does it say, "obey these rules and you will go to heaven".

Er....

religion sets rules.
Jesus sets free.

Jesus set rules as well

Look, maybe my terminology was ill recieved.

How's about I rephrase it: All and all, in your religion, it's very simple. Be a good person and you will go to heaven, be a bad person and you will burn.

Satisfactory?

You become a good person after being changed by Christ, not by your own righteousness, but by his.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No matter how "Good" a person tries to be, unless he is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, he cannot see the kingdom.

Good works are a product of faith in Christ. But only He can save from hell.

Religion says you can "earn" your way into heaven.
Jesus says you can't.

Earlier I said follow the rules (which includes finding Jesus and following his rules) and everyone disagreed.

I change my wording to good person and everyone says no! You need to follow these rules!

I give up -.-

And yes God has a plan for everyones life, I'm not sure God has a plan for some people to go to hell. But most people will fall astray to man's nature of sin. I don't believe that people are born to go to hell.

I think people are born and they just choose to go down the wrong path. There is still a purpose in their life that God has assigned to them, but most people won't persue it and find out what they need to do or even fulfil it.

so your saying that people choose to go down the wrong path?

growing up the wrong place can mean you never get the knowledge of what is right or wrong

it is easy to judge

but one should not become ignorant

When you say rules, it just doesn't sound right. All you have to do is believe in the one true God, trust Him with your soul and life, and receive His grace because of the perfect sacrifice of His son Jesus. After you accept Him into your heart and life, you could die in the next few seconds and be sent to heaven. There is no requirement on "doing good". This is because we are incapable of doing good without receiving Christ, something you have to realize. If it was possible for everyone to do good things and get into heaven for them, then Jesus would not have had to come to earth and sacrifice Himself.

Growing up in a bad environment has nothing to do with the person you grow into.

I had a Christian tell me that God sends athiests here to test other Christians and that God chooses some automatically go to hell.

That does not sit right with me
