I think that he is correct about the fact that you cannot avoid the problem whether you believe in creation or evolution. What I don't think many evolutionists would agree with is my contention above, which is that some people wouldn't say the earliest lifeforms were continually breeding with themselves, but rather were simply multiplying as cells. Multiplying cells and breeding cells are not the same.
