no respect

You're just blurting out regurgitated cliches with absolutely zero textual evidence. Sorry but that kind of "input" is not valid and is not wanted or needed here.

You've spoken ill of Christianity and religion in general in the past, so don't pretend like you didn't have it coming.

i tried to have a an argument with you before and all u did was take other peoples arguments and spew hate.

I wish you would have read the parts of the bible that preach love and acceptance. Then maybe you wouldnt be so mad at me for nothing

And i have as much evidence as i need because all the paintings of jesus he had long hair.
and ne way; why do u care? Do u rly think god will judge u at the gates of heaven for having "unholy hair"?

This isn't even worth a response. I was very respectful from the beginning and am continuing to be so. If you can't handle the fact that atheist ideas are not accepted here I will report you to a mod and you will no longer be able to post here any more.

Paintings are ideas of the artist. An artist can draw a purple orange if he wants to, that doesn't mean oranges are really purple now does it?

I don't think it's possible to be banished from heaven for unholy hair but still the point remains that as a Christian I want to be on good terms. You are the one spewing hate and attempting to make me look bad.

how?

An author of a book is subjected to the same artistic freedom. He can write whatever he wants.

All i said was that jesus had long hair and i got raged at. If anyone is judging and mistreating anyone that would be you my friend. Im posting here as a human being, and doesnt mean my opinion is invalid. I would hope you would understand that kind of love and acceptance as a christian. I havent even posed any athiest anything in this thread.

I just wish you would treat people nicer. Its disheartening to see someone who goes around preaching good moral teachings of jesus when he doesnt even follow them.

Okay you can write your ideas, you can paint them, you can sing about them, whatever the case yes you have the freedom. That does not mean that their ideas are fact just because they have the freedom to say what they want. I can't just go into a synagogue and tell people what Moses looked like because there's a painting or book that says he was white. Sure I have the freedom to do so but that does not mean that it is true. The same applies here.

You're grossly exaggerating my intent here. I honestly do not see any "rage" or "mistreating" coming from my end or even yours for that matter.

Once again this is a Christian forum and for you to come in here and bash me for asking a question "Do u rly think god will judge u at the gates of heaven for having "unholy hair"?"

"And i have as much evidence as i need because all the paintings of jesus he had long hair." Not evidence plain and simple. It's an artistic idea which is not backed by any fact.

Sorry for being so mean and refuting your empty "facts"

Pretty harsh words at the end, it's just a subject that's open to discussion. Personally I think dreadlocks are fine. The reason I bring this up is because I've heard people claiming that letting your hair grow into dreadlocks is a sin. 1. because it is not clean 2. because it imitates rastafarians and others such as mystic hindhus

I'm terribly sorry if my poor choice of words have offended you, i am in no way here to debate the existence of god i am a very spiritual man myself but it is clear to see that some things contradict themselves in what was/is accepted by faith

1. because it is not clean

Hang on here - I had dreads for 9 years and i kept them VERY clean.

Why spend so much time trying to figure out what minutiea is righteous and what is not?

Live. Grow dreads if you want. Go vegetarian. Hunt wild boar with a popsicle stick. Start taking the bus and talk to the people you are afraid of normally. Don't be so afraid to make a mistake. We will all make them anyways. God didn't create you to live in holes and worry.

Dr. J has your back.

dreadlocks are not a sin in any way. Do not believe the legalists that tell you things like this are a sin. We are no longer under the old covenant and "it is for freedom that christ set us free" Galatians 5:1
galatians 5:18 continues to say "But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law."

I don't get it. People used to say "God looks inyo your heart but not on your body" and now they talk about an haircut ? I don't get it.
