Omegaslayer,

I'm sorry for getting to this sooner. Obviouosly I cannot feel your pain. I can only offer words of encouragement in hopes you will regain your Faith, because if you loose faith you loose hope.

Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The word translated "substance" comes from the Greek hupostasis (Strong's # 5287), which means "a placing or setting under, a substructure or foundation." This word appears elsewhere in the New Testament as "confident" or "confidence" (2 Corinthians 9:4; 11:17; Hebrews 3:14).

Read your Bible because the Bible is a book that can be trusted to be accurate in everything it addresses, we have faith in God and His promises, both to bless the obedient and punish the disobedient. For the obedient, we have the confident hope of heaven.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God, its possible that lack of faith could mean one knows little about God's track record in taking care of His people. Perhaps you are new Christians "if you have fully obeyed the Gospel" and have little or no experience with the word of God, or have neglected to study God's word as we should.

Spending some time reading about the characters of Hebrews 11, with some research into the actual events in the Old Testament, can help you develop faith in God to take care of you if you will do His will.

A study of the gospels and the life of Jesus is also a great help to Christians in the development of their faith. An examination of the book of Acts is also an encouraging study to develop or restore faith.

I hope this reply is not to late and that you are able to read it and apply it to your situation.

Well if the person does turn to Jesus, its the best thing they can do. He will take it from there, but they have to give up the self first and let Him take over.

And thats hard to do these days, since everything in the media etc, is about promoting the "self"

Whatever you do don't ask god for any favors, he hates that.
