Make War against sin!!!

-Romans 7:14-25-
For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.

For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.

But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.

So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.

For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.

But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.

For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,

but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.

Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

It is also written, "money answers all things"

Also, look at Matt chapter 6.

Put your money before God and let Him decide it's fate.

We trade our time, a portion of our lives, our toiling; to obtain money and material things. There will come a time, when we hold onto It, like It is our life and therefore be enslaved by It or we use it as a tool to release the love and compassion within us and thus become it's master.

think there are lots millionaires who are christians. you make money, you work hard, you give it back someday. charity
you work hard towards it and seek God's help.

Conviction without action is useless. I think someone hit the nail on the head...if we are in tune with God and spend time with Him daily and start having desires for Him, He will take care of everything. I am working on a career that isn't really known as making a lot of money but I know it is where God is calling me. I know that if it's His will, it's His bill meaning He will make it happen. Money is nothing to God. I would have to ask you to reflect on how much time are you spending with God because just saying it's a problem and doing something about it are two completely things.

FYI, nice Francis Chan link. I love him as a pastor and such a man of God. He says things in boldness that I think lots of other pastors won't dare to say. Sad how that's the trend in today's church...everyone must feel good. I guess challenging and rebuking is out the window...but this is another topic.
