Harmony?

Religion has been the top catalyst of violence in the world for at least the past 2,000 years.

As a Christian, do you personally believe 4 of the 6 billion people in this world, who arent Christians, are going to burn in hell for eternity?

As a Christian, do you believe every religion is wrong and only Christianity is the true word of God?

As a Christian, do you believe there is only one God and only one Heaven?

Serious questions.

1) More than 4 billion are going to hell, its a narrow road
2) the Bible is the true word of God
3) There is only one God, and there is a Heaven

My thoughts on this is that, if there is a god, who is burning good people for eternety in hell, for no other reason than not to believe in a story out of a book.
Then I do not want to be in his heaven.
I love other good persons too much for it.

Please dont take this offensive against christianity or your personal belief. That is not my intend.

A) --> Redefine the word Good. To the average human being, the word GOOD comes from our past experiences, and changes. It is humanistic in notion, and is a variable. Back in the Roman age, it was GOOD to have many slaves, and nobody thought anything of it. Today, it is abhorred. So can anything "Good" actually be something we accept today? Are we so arrogant as to say that our culture is civilised enough to think that things wont change in the future, likewise to the Roman-era comparatively to today?

As a Christian, I would like to redefine "Good". It isn't something as wishy washy as what we today have derived from our culture. Being truly Good is doing the will of God. Whether this goes against our current perception of "Good" is irrelevant --> it may differ, but Good is not something I can define.

B) --> A lot of people and friends that I talk to have said the same thing --> that religion is just a means to enslave society, or just a decent set of moral values. I dont think this is the case. At the end of the day, religion comes down to two crossroads --> Either there is a religion or there isn't, and assuming there IS a religion, then which one? As far as I know, religions (at least Christianity and a few other major religions) are mutually exclusive, meaning that ONLY ONE IS CORRECT, AND ALL OTHERS ARE FALSE. Just because you don't like the fact that all non-christians are going to hell, it doesn't change the fact that this is the ultimate truth. Just because you choose to not like this and accept it, doesnt change the fact that one day it will come down to this simple question --> Do you believe in Jesus or not?

On top of all this, I feel God's hand moving in my life today, and it just cannot be ignored. This is my personal experience with God.

In summary, Whether we like it or not is irrelevant. IF its the truth, then you had better accept it. However, there's only one way to find out... investigate. From my experience, you won't regret it. Everybody will each find their answer!

I think ive summed up my own thoughts based on users posts
Different religions are just different ways through God, he has outreached through many different views for you to see him through.

In the end your just building a relationship with him, and how strong that relationship is based on how you have lived your life toward him determines a heaven factor.

It is not by your own devotion in keeping that relationship with him, It's about HIS devotion to keeping a relationship with you.
I must admit I'm a back slidden Christian (A Christian that is not growing and learning as much as he or she should - or atleast i attempt to be - i'm not perfect, no one is)
Now if your own devotion to Christ determines the issue of your salvation, many of us will not be able to be with him in heaven after this life. all you have to do is ask him to be your saviour because you cannot save yourself.
It is only by God's hand that your with him, once you are with him, he will never let you go. This is truth my friend, I'm happy to see that you're interested in these things.
The Bible assures that you can never lose your salvation. In John 10:29 it says "My Father which gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand" (Them refers to those who have put their faith in Christ)
Now as for the relationship, think of it as a relationship with someone you love, maybe you have a girlfriend. Ofcourse, you want to spend time with her, otherwise that bond won't be as strong. You want to know everything about your girlfriend, same with God, You should want to know as much about God as you can by reading the Bible and praying to him. That way, you will find something that will change your life FOREVER. you will feel exactly how real God is. Ofc you won't know all the answers, Even pastors and preachers and evangelists don't know all the answers. As humans, we can't comprehend us, we can't comprehend how he loves us so much to send his son to die for us. we can't comprehend how he continues to love us with all the evil that we have done.

Honestly i do believe that unfortunately all those people are going to hell but they aren't burning from what i have read in the bible burning and gnashing of teeth is imagery Jesus used to try and convey how bad hell is and i believe that hell is a place where people go and are eternally separated from God and any benefit from his existence because God is love and because of that being eternally separated from him you no longer have the ability of love which i believe is that worst part of being in hell you can not show feelings that we as humans are created to have

No i do not believe that Christianity is the only way to God i believe that Jesus is that only true way to God i feel like that there is a difference because people put so much faith into the building that is the church it is more about the people within the church (the body of Christ) i believe that the bible is the true word of God

As a Christian i believe that there is only one God but i feel like a cannot even fathom what heaven is going to be like or what it is going to consist of

Seperated from God and those beings that believed in him doesn't sound that bad. At least you question your doctrine and come up with your own views. I respect you sir.

Personally I dont believe you have to 'christian' though (this is mainly because I am agnostic). If God exists and truly loves everyone; provided you live your life well and to good intentions you will surpass to heaven (if he does exist that is)
