Join the military, you will have no question in your mind about an absolute Creator.

Hehe. There are no atheists in foxholes.

@ OP: A lot of things change when your settings change. Your faith is no different. It is tested and as you meet new people with different beliefs, you begin to possibly question your own beliefs. Look back on what brought you to Christ in the first place. A while back when I was still in youth group, our youth minister gave a very awesome message about exactly this. It is ok, and completely normal to question God and your faith - but in doing so, you should not leave it at that. Search within yourself, read the Bible and seek answers to the questions you have. I suggest talking to a pastor or chaplain of some sort as I'm sure there are resources available to you. This will help you greatly, and help shed light on this issue for you.

I did question God's existance at one point, until I remembered the rainbow story as nobody has ever told or showed me how a rainbow comes into play. So therefore now I do believe in him.

Rainbow? what the hell are you talking about
anyways i just noticed this subforum

Im an anthiest for the most part..

i dont have any inspiring stories or anything, but i can give some advice

go in depth into real history, the biblical ages and further, read lots of this ext... some of the most smartest artistic and most devoted to the church, weren't even religious (Da Vinci)

I say now that you arent force fed your religion any more its time for you my friend to do some research, and from there you can make up your mind

ive done enough research and took the mask off to realize half of these so called "miracles" were Lies or very decietful, just research and make your own decision, hell became Jewish or Buddhist..
just make sure what you choose is what you believe, dont choose something because of someone else, do it for yourself!

Through prayer, we begin to feel his love and his presence. Another reason is all the Atheists I meet are miserable, angry and seem to have such a vendetta against religion.

If you get around these kinds of people, they will try and bring you down with them. Pray Pray Pray!....Get close to God and you wont feel so stupid. He can do anything...to me that doesnt sound stupid, Its amazing and I love him for it!
I work at a facility where people make corrective lenses for people that cant see. Its a decent place to work, but it doesnt have a great amount of people. The people I work with are terrible people. They have crude jokes and try to get to know you so they can use your faults as a weapon against you. These people are corrupt kind of people and all god asks of you is for you to pray for them! Put God 1st in your life and your heart will not wonder or stray from the path it is suppose to go. BUT DO NOT JOIN THESE PEOPLE IN THEIR ACTIONS!

Ephesians 5:4 ESV
Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving

Luke 7:31-34 ESV
“To what then shall I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another, “‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.’ For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

Im sorry, but its people like you who think they are better then everyone else just because you think you have god on your side. I've known people like you talk about, but you even said yourself theres not many people there, you judge all atheists or agnostics from a few that you know. I've know plenty of athiests who are much nicer and bigger hearted people than some christians.

My Question to all you guys out there is:

Where was god during the holocaust?
where was he during the crusades when people were killing in is name?
where was he during some of the most catastrophic events on earth?

Oh wait thats just his "plan" isnt it?

I'm an Atheist, I am not at all miserable, and I am very well versed in Christianity and it's history. I have no problem with religion either. Please don't stereotype like that.

I see you don't realize what the word punishment means.
