First off, I'd like to keep this post on topic about everybody's denominations and what church they go too.

To respond to you two, in His word it clearly states that he is everlasting, that He will always be alive. Our God is not a mortal god.

If you two are truly that doubtful about our God, I suggest you try praying with an open heart and open mind and reading Genesis.

Lets please keep this topic on subject from this point out.

way to not read what I replied at all....

also, way to blindly believe. questioning is not wrong, learning is encouraged...its simple minded replies like yours that keep ppl away.
it is in our nature to question things, to ask why, not not blindly believe and take things at face value. take your own advice, try praying for an open mind.
Not a mortal God...btw its "God", and Jesus was just some guy who didnt die was he? yes, he was resurrected and yes he was a mortal man...he ate, he drank, he suffered, he endured.

the common response is read the bible...you are what I like to refer to as a... "cookie cutter" Christian.

Glad you can use your Bible and Quote Scripture, your non-confrontational response sickens me. I would love to tear you apart and put you back together with an altered frame of mind.
You probably haven't even considered the idea of the non-supernatural Jesus have you. That idea must be blasphemous to a "Jesus Freak", though I do enjoy that song.

Faith is not blind belief. Never discourage someone questioning...you just lost one person or the chance to help someone in the realization of what the truth is, or what the truth is to you.

Get off that non-confrontational, misconstrued retarded horse you are riding....come to front lines of conversion with the rest of us. Don't question my faith, I've seen things around the world on mission trips that most likely would have you peeing your pants. Taken the Jesus Film through South America, have had machettes waved in my face and threatened with imprisonment...quote your little Bible verse though, I'm sure its working for ya.

Oh yeah, lets "keep on topic"

Nazarene, though I don't fully agree with their doctrine of course. though like most it is intended to avoid even glimpsing at the ez road it has many man-made rules I dont agree with.

I'm merely asking for you to keep this on topic, if you want to discuss this, I suggest making a new thread.

Made the edit just for you sunshine. Believe me, you don't want me posting a thread for a theological discussion with you.

Enjoy your happy little subforum though. I may or may not decide to call on it again.

I would be happy to answer any question you may have. Just shoot me a pm :)

But keep in mind, that not all your questions will have an answer. There are some things in our belief that have no answer, or we cannot begin to comprehend. I like it that way. I like that God is more than I can comprehend. If he was anything less.. he wouldn't be God ;)

But like I said, feel free to pm me with any questions you have :)

I currently do not attend regularly a conventional church ... although i visit randomly churches in my area from time to time ...but i do have fellowship with like minded believers almost everyday ...i became a "christian" when i was 17 and remained one for many years ... but later in life my relationship with "G-d" was not very good ... although i still believed, i didnt not live with the everyday commitment a relationship requires ... i went through some very hard times ... i hide from "G-d" ... but at the point that i thought i would rather die than keep on living ... "G-d" reached out to me!! ... that was 5 years ago
i now have a very close relationship with the Creator ... my church is any believer who claims to know the G-d of the scriptures ... i know if they are sincere for if you are a witness of his you reflect his love and spirit and His spirit that is inside of me can sense that ... although i don't consider myself a "christian" anymore i still fellowship with christians and maintian many of the same beliefs ... for they believe in the same messiah Jesus or Yeshua (a more precise hebrew transliteration) that is mentioned in scripture... if i had to compare my beliefs to a movement i would be a Messianic Jew or Hebrew Christian ... i know that some of my views are not mainstream or the usual ... but i follow what scripture shows me through the Holy Spirit ... i went to bible college for a few years and ... many of my friends are pastors and even christian college professors ... i have a desire to minister myself and do so oftern ... i have a burden to help people who are in trouble and need our savior (messiah) ...i am excited to discuss scripture even when we don't agree ...we can often learn from each other and if we let the spirit lead us we will follow the path that or "G-d" wants to take us ...i don't keep man made traditions for the most part and i don't follow man made religious rules ... i try to follow what the scriptures say and how the creator shows me with his spirit to follow them... I'm sorry i gave more than the topic asked for ...Shalom brothers

Home based non-denominational research ministry which attempts to replicate how the believers worked together in the book of Acts.

My entire family is Lutheran and I was raised in that way. I went to Lutheran and non-denominational churches through high school and college, but no longer attend church.

I'm curious as to what church does everybody go too and what denomination everyone considers themselves?

I personally was raised a Lutheran / Methodist and when I had a falling away from God when I was younger I also fell away from those denominations.

I tend to go to Non-Denominational churches, though I've been going to an Evangelical church as of late.

me too, i have been attending an Evangelical church and i do not agree with everything there either, i do not consider myself under any demonination
