Sorry but that's incorrect..

You do notice that Jesus didn't hang around religious people or even people with a deep knowledge and understand ing of God.
Jesus hung around the biggest sinner in the town and made a difference in their lives through his love.

And it would be very unwise to just go around judging people "showing them the error of their ways" The only time Jesus ever did this was when he was talking to the religious leaders.

The best thing you can ever do is LOVE EVERYONE! I don't are who they are and what they've done. As a christian your called to love and love every single person you come across. DO NOT JUDGE! DO NOT show them the "error their ways"
It says in the Word "Don't better concerned with a sliver in someone elses eye when you have a plank in your own".

This means to never judge people or point out their errors (unless they are asking for it) but always look at correcting you own instead.

easiest way to remember how to handle this.
Jesus loved everyone. No matter on the people who were close on him and turned their back on him or the people who laughed at him while he was on the cross. He loved everyone no matter what fault they had. You should do the same.

Jesus is God. therefore, he cannot be corrupted by the likes of sinners he tended to on a daily basis
You, on the other hand, can be. So get your filthy ass as far away from those people as you can.
Not only is it the wise thing to do on an earthly aspect (common sense), but also the bible says that iron sharpens iron, so your friends and company influence your motives and actions
I'm not saying you can't love these people, but don't be stupid and stoop down to their level in order to fit in
