@haeload: Remember that Jesus came to earth for the very fact that we are fallible by nature. In a sense, we are - out of our own - incapable of resisting all sin (and keeping to the law of Moses, by extension). However, that is why Jesus died as payment for ALL our sins, and consequently sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us and help us "fight the battle" - as it were. Your uneasyness about this whole situation is a prompting of the Spirit, a call to action. As Kath said, put in some extra time with the Lord. Time with Him is one of the easiest things Satan steals from us, and one of the most important, since spending time with the Lord (whether it be in church, with a group, or even just on your own) is a sure-fire way to build the relationship.

As for the temptation of sex specifically, from my own experience: It is one of, if not THE most beautiful acts of love between a man and a woman, and subsequently a prime candidate for corruption. We see this everywhere - it's made cheap. As a result, it becomes harder and harder to resist simply because it becomes more and more "unspecial". The only advice I have is to ask the Lord to guide you and, very importantly, protect you from the temptation, since it seems to be getting bigger than you. Remember that there is simply no problem too big for Jesus to handle - that's what He's there for.

No.  The bible is a constant, and does not change.  This world we live in is a very tempting world and that is what makes following Christ so challenging.  However, it should also be rewarding.  As njaguar stated, the path is narrow and very difficult to stay on.

Narrowing everyday. Tv, movies, advertising. All oriented to money, women...

Kinda envy the things like some people, ie: haeload, do. Try as hard as they can to follow that road, on this world.

IMO it's not unholy to have physical attraction - it shouldn't be considered unholy to have sexual relations before marriage. It's purely natural to have sex, with more than one partner, and with partners who are not your soul mate.

Personally - I doubt that God would boot you out of heaven for simply being a normal human being with normal human urges.

Coincidentally i've come across the encouraging word of the day post and found this:

“Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”

Ephesians 2:9 NLT
Provided by: New Living Translation

Dunno, but in my interpretation, don't expect salvation with this or that style. I think that comes naturally doing good things. If you are making so much effort maybe isn't naturally to you. That's my opinion. I'm not saying to giving up. Just take your time to think what want. You will become crazy(for real) with that conflict in your mind everyday.

Btw, this is my first post on this board. My brother that have jsp too told me about that. Nice to see some cases like that and think about what I'm doing in my life.

my opinion:

yes u work at the place. probably for a long time every week.

i say let ur world be bountiful, and try a lot of interesting and mostly harmless things.

sports, church fun events, reading a little, watching movies a little.

When u understand life u understand girls. Because life is people. Without people, this earth is just a dirt mound. And you also see more of what people create and throw out there

Then you can talk to these girls in a deeper way , see them in a deeper way

Then you will fall in love. Then you will be happy

btw bro: how's the pay @ AF
commission or? let me know cause, i feel like thats where my sales go up
same as u
