Here is some verses that relate to the OP:

Quote
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Quote (1 TIM 4:8)
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

These above and countless more, show that nothing physical is joy. You cannot bring your body into heaven, it's you spirit. Medicine to help our bodys little bit longer is fine in my eyes, but just remember.. Nothing physical will bring you joy

Here is a quote from a awesome pastor, named David Wilkerson wich recently passed away,

Quote (DAVID WILKERSON)
There’s nothing of the flesh that will give you joy.  I don’t care how much money, I don’t care what kind of new house, there is absolutely nothing physical that can give you joy.  It’s only what is accomplished by the Holy Spirit when you obey and take on His heart.

Here is his full preaching:

This also relates back to why njaguar doesn't put ads on this site/etc, and make literally millions? Why? Because money is nothing in this world, THAT ALONE is more then enough proof to me. Same goes for me, money is nothing I could careless.
And with that above mindset I stated above is a pure example and role model on how christians should live there life, the greed of money is really the root of all evil. ;)

So you're saying, he wants (or likes us) to take these naturally unnatural (If that makes sense...) substances and consume them to prolong our lives?

Everything that makes it up is natural.
If changing things that are natural is against God's will... we'll all be damned for creating the Wheel.

Hope you get my point.

No. Why would it be? The longer you live, the longer you have to find salvation and the longer you have to help bring others to salvation.

Also, why would Jesus heal the sick if he didn't want them to live longer?

He also gave us the ability to create nuclear bombs, should we use them? When it comes down to it there is nothing at all wrong with prolonging life and or treating illnesses. I couldn't imagine God being angry about that.

Yes. The Greek word pharmakeia is usually rendered as sorcery/witchcraft in scripture.

Back in biblical times, people didn't really have medicine or the technology to heal the sick and wounded, this includes people that are sick with either a virus, or a broken bone/limb
They depended on miracles from Jesus and luck with time to heal them.

As we all know, many elderly people today take medicine, to keep them alive and well.
But we know that medicines (Eg; medicine for your heart, bones, well being, etc) didn't exist back then.

So are we cheating Gods will by falsely improving our health with medicine and doctoral practices? Therefore extending our natural lives?

I'd like to hear peoples input on this, I've been thinking about this for a while.

Humans at the beginning lived for over 900 years. Now the years have been cut back to about 70 or so. Some healthy veterans live to 100 if that but lets just say 70 is the life expectancy now.

A few extra years of medicine isn't going to do a hell of a lot to 'cheat' God so to speak. You do know that you won't live forever and one day this has to end right? You can't avoid death forever.

Now God gave humans the ability to be able to work out a cure for a few diseases but there are some limitations as to how far advanced we can go. The ideal world lives in computer games where we travel across the Universe in mere seconds and have everything automated. It is likely humans will never be able to travel across the galaxy. The point is, God is in control. No matter how far advanced humans will be in one thousand years, God is in control.
