I took my pastor's word for it on those subjects. Jesus said little to nothing about slavery or the subjugation of women, because he may not have been a divine creature, but a deranged man. :/ Like C.S. Lewis, that famous apologist, said, either what Jesus said was true or he was insane.

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
