So I was raised catholic because of my fathers side of the family, he has 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
He divorced my mother ~10 years ago and is now going to be getting remarried later this summer.
Having been raised a catholic by him I find it troubling that he is so willingly remarrying, which of course goes against the catholic doctrine.
So here is my dilemma:
His wife to be is a very nice women whom my dad will enjoy spending the rest of his life with. BUT
I feel strangely uncomfortable since this is not good/devout catholic behaviour. and he will not be spending an eternity in the afterlife with his bride to be.
How, if it all should I raise my concerns with him about this situation. any advice catholics, or other christians would like to share, or have some verses to share of what jesus would do/think?
thanks
My family is Catholic, and my mother is looking for a new love.
Things dont work out for a reason, you cannot say that someone should not marry another person,
the catholics are raised to be that way, and so where the people back then when religious wars were takign place,
but if your father loves another woman, you cannot be selfish , and take that away from him.
