If constant inbreeding causes deaf blind retards, how do you explain evolution, where we all came from a single life form that evolved, self replicated, and continually bred with itself while evolving over billions of years?

Science has confirmed that they can trace all human life back to a single woman. The copy of a copy problem becomes an issue only because we're thousands of years into the copy at this point, so it can have (not always!) more profound effects in the short term, re: genetic defects.

Some more reading on the subject:

One interesting note straight from that page:
"The Human MRCA. All humans alive today share a surprisingly recent common ancestor, perhaps even within the last 5,000 years, even for people born on different continents."

Thats true, and a very interesting fact indeed. Thanks for reminding me of it, Paul :)

OK, well that link was an interesting theory, I had several problems with it that i won't go into
I don't think ill be posting here anymore, The whole Cristian fellowship thing makes me so sad.
The only shinning light is more people are leaning towards the side of reason and away from "if you can't explain it god did it"
Religion as a whole has caused much more harm then good, there are millions of soldiers in graves across the globe that were convinced god was on their side.
Anyways good luck with all that god stuff...I guess

If you seriously want to play that game, humanity descended from a rock that got rained on for billions of years. Try doing a little research on evolution and what they teach kids in school like the geologic column, recapitulation theory, grand canyon erosion, petrification, star creation (boyle's law), etc.

Cell division is not equivalent with breeding with itself my friend.

And once anisogamy evolved millions of years later the same problem would occur. What njag referenced is still a part of the theorized evolutionary process, just not in relation to asexual reproduction.
