Just pray for Him to show you His ways, His will. And pray that he would strengthen you against sin, and against the ways of this evil world.

I'm sure you know, "7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 9“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?"

"Money is the root of all evil" and numerous other mentions of money in a negative light in the bible speak mostly about misappropriation or lust for money. You can also see in a couple areas where it's advised that money be spent on the necessities, specifically food. I don't know of a specific passage forbidding praying for food. God will know your intentions for the money so there's little difference in praying for money or for living expenses in your case. I've personally known a couple people who've been in hard times, prayed for money to meet their rent for the month and have received anonymous donations (of the exact amount needed). As sarstruck said though, only asking for help without a diligence and willingness on your part isn't a magical cure-all either. "Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth."

For your situation I would advise taking any job that your time allows. Some people find it embarrassing to work certain jobs (which can be a good lesson in humility :p), but working to provide for your mate is a wonderful act of service and love.

Keep this in mind. God has a plan for you, to benefit you, and to be for the greater good. It's possible you may be facing some harsh things for a while. Or you could win the lottery tomorrow. As it is though... I don't believe it's wrong to ask God for money, per se.... You are trying to start your life, and family. You are looking to get things rolling. Pray for God to help you get a good job, to help motivate you, and to help you in these harsh times.

I was about to write the same thing. What you pray about: Never be ashamed and always do your best to learn from your mistakes and become a stronger person. God already knows what your flaws are. He sees your everyday struggles and he'll always understand the reasoning behind what you do in your life. Pertaining to the money specifically, I've been broke before and unable to pay my rent. It's a tough feeling but you always have to remember that everything happens for a reason and it's up to you to keep doing the right thing despite all of the adversity and hardships.

No.

Ask why you need money as well.

Sounds like it may actually be a personal responsibility problem. Ask about that as well.

How you should take care of the responsibility and how you should pray for that answer.

Above all!.. Pray for what you should do next, then do it if it lines up and then ask again. Be willing to be changed by Him and sacrifice for the needs of others that you are responsible for as His voice and unconditional love leads!

Not wrong, God just won't answer a prayer that is against what the bible teaches. So expect your hands to not get any better lol.

So i often ask the Lord, Jesus Christ, for money in my free prayer (free prayer is my own word for prayers that are not the normals like the Lords prayer, as i walk through the valley, and as i lay me down to sleep) and i was wondering if this is wrong.

I am not well off, and having trouble finding a job.  I took classes at College but in order to become what i trained to become i have to take several state, national, and local tests and it is very time consuming.

I am currently engaged to the woman of my dreams but we live with her parents free of rent for now and it is very irritating to me.  Not that we live with them or have some simple rules which i do not attest,

but that i am unable to support and care for my fiance and own a place of our own, or at the very least, rent one

Is there anywhere in the scripture that either allows or disallows praying for money?

please help me.

God Bless You All

yeah gl see ya in hell
