EDIT: Was going to post, but it would stir up more conflict and further harden the heart.

hey man i spent most my life as a christian. then i realized if all these good people, who were products of consequence and din't happen to believe in the "christian" god then they'd spend eternity in hell. i don't deserve to go to heaven anymore than these individuals. send me to hell with them. i bet they'll be better people roasting in hell then there are in heaven. they just didn't believe in christ because no one around them did. products of consequence.

I used to think the same way, so I understand where you're coming from. I actually came to Christ when I was 23 years old, it wasn't some thing where I was brought up or told to believe, it was a real encounter.

Yahweh comes to this planet.

i don't believe in hell anymore. once i could comprehend the idea of eternity it's existence made no sense.

What if you had two options:

1) To die, everything goes black, there is nothing.

2) To stay alive, being cloned, etc... on a ship, or to be genetically altered so that you don't age.

1 = Serve Man

2 = Serve Yahweh

He comes back soon, He knows the heart. When he sends them out, you can't hide what you're thinking, or who you serve. He will know if you believe in him, so it can't be faked.

Its definitely decision making time for the Earthdwellers as we approach His return, and the end of the age.

i'd say creating a species knowing that a vast majority of them would spend eternity in hell (the whole omniscient thing) seems a bit um cruel.

edit: i mean really. if you compare our life to infinity. it's easy to eliminate our measly life span altogether (thank you calculus). so in reality most the population will be spending their ENTIRE existence in hell. according to the requirements that most christians feel need to be fulfilled to get into heaven.

Hey, they were all given the chance to believe in God. You, yourself may have a plan to convert at the age of 92. However, you could go out at the age of 23 and get drunk and decide to get behind the wheel. You have a car crash and die at the age of 23. At the beginning of that day you didn't plan to die. That is why you should believe in him and turn away from your sinful ways...NOW!

I go out in an hour, I don't know if I'll die on the way there or not. If I do at least I'll know that I have already accepted Jesus into my life. Turn to the Lord and you will be saved!

Theres really no point in trying. I've had my arguments on this subject ignored. No one will even try to argue with me.

I argued that when and where you are born should have no impact on if your soul is worthy of heaven or not. If anyone disagrees with this then God is unjust. A person has no choice over when or where they're born. Therefor, if God is just, any given person at any point in history could have been born anywhere at any other point in history and whether or not they go to heaven or hell will remain unchanged.

If this is true then I'm expected to believe that out of every single person who died without ever hearing of a biblical God or Jesus Christ, because they were born in an area and time where that information simply didn't exist, not a single one of them if they were born today would become a Christian and go to heaven.

The people who would have gone to hell would be the extreme majority if not ALL of just about every ancient civilization.

This is simply impossible to believe.

I look forward to no one refuting my points again.

you think it's a coincidence that you are christian? do you live in america? where 80% are christian? do you think if you lived in indonesia where 90% are islamic that you'd be a christian? you'd be a part of that 5% ? be reasonable. even if you were above the influence you can't begin to claim that the 100's of millions who are islamic had not chosen their religion according to outside influences. and they will spend their entire existence burning and suffereing in hell. come on now. there are good people there. better people than you or i.
