Try Amazon, and I've also seen some bookstores (like Barnes and Noble) carry Bibles in multiple languages.

The Gideons sow/place them there for anyone who needs one, so I can't even call it stealing, if you need one. :D

I was once staying at a hotel for a Bible conference with my step-dad and as we left for the first day my he said "Ah! I forgot my Bible!"

I opened the top drawer, tossed the one in there and proclaimed "Thank God for Gideons! Let's go."

This is encouraging to know that even though we are in the great apostacy or falling away of the end times, there are still many coming to Christ as they begin to realize whats going on.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

NIV Ryrie study bible expanded edition.
Excelent for actuall in depth research on a multitude of levels.
One thing to note though as with all NIV bible's is that they remove the name Jehova from the text which is the proper name for God in Hebrew.

I think the MacArthur study Bible is a good choicebecause it provides notess on the bottom specially for difficult passages

this, I like the NASB, its a good literal translation and its not to hard to read, the ESV and NIV are looser more dynamic translations
