I don't believe this at all. It's like he is saying that he "tricked" God into revealing himself to this guy in the afterlife, even though God knew he wasn't actually dead. :mellow:

tricked? God did it on purpose so the guy can go back to earth and spread the good news so other people could be blessed and their eyes opened. God also gave him another chance.. nobody was tricked..
