We talked about that.
But the Greek (yeah... we even looked up the original text) was clear that it was the "good" samaritan and not the "kind" samaritan.
And then we looked at the typical English definition.
Kindness:: the quality of being warmhearted and considerate and humane and sympathetic. From this we got the feeling that kindness had much to do with feelings and emotions.
We also talked about.. what would the story be like if it was the "kind" samaritan and we envisioned the story of the samaritan having a deep concern for the man emotionally, pray for him but doesn't take the physical action.
But this is our small group interpretation and I was just wondering what other follow of Christ might have thought.
