a tape doesnt make learning about god more enjoyable.it does make studying easier, but not more enjoyable, and im not sure how musical instruments are suppose to enhance your understanding.

about your book on tape thing
it says in the bible to preach the word to every living creature,he doesnt tell us how,so the book on tape would be making that easier, but musical instruments do not make it easier,so let me know how you feel about that

You're kinda all over the place there, but I'll try.

If the music in a church grabs your attention more than just a regular old sermon, then your understanding would deepen through sheer focus, I would think. And music, among other forms of communication, does make getting a message across easier. Varying the mode of delivering a message ensures that it reaches a broader audience.

The book on tape analogy was just simply me trying to express that music, a tape, pictures or whatever are just tools. Therefore, by your line, any way you get "the word" out to people would be a good thing. In general, content > context.

If I'm not understanding what you were asking me to clarify, just simplify your post, please.

reason why people make tapes are too reach out to those who cannot make it to church, for one reason or another,or who dont have time to study, church was around for a very long time before they introduced musical instruments,so what im saying is,was it needed or did people do it just because they enjoy it more

What would convince you that it was necessary? If music in church is a means to an end, what end would satisfy you?

If bringing a piano into a church helped you retain or add just one more parishioner, was it worth it? Or would you find that to be false dedication?

If you think people should enter a church, worship and just be satisfied with "normalcy", then your answer is obvious. On the other hand, if you think that worship is worship is worship... whether it be in a house made of wood by a man in a robe reading from a book, a band and a choir belting out a gospel tune in Alabama, or Morgan Freeman reading Genesis from an mp3 on your iPod, then your answer is obvious as well. I think you can actually answer your own question here.
