Hey guys hopefully I can help you out or guide you too something that can help you out but first I must say the truth takes time.. I believe many people who are struggling with the same thing you guys are want just a single sentence of so called "evidence" of the truth but don't want to take more than a minute or two to either listen or search for the true evidence.. It takes time to understand the truth and you must read or listen to more than just one sentence to fully understand something.. For example you wouldn't understand an entire book, the plot's and conclusion's, only by reading the title of the book.. You must take time to read the book to understand it..

If you really want the truth take some time and listen to the beginning of this book, "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis and listen to some of the evidence and idea's he gives..
C.S. Lewis was an atheist before he became a Christian and accepted the belief of Jesus so you might be able to relate to what he's saying even more

If you do not feel like this relates to you or you do not have time to listen to this video take a few minutes to pray to God and ask Him to open up your heart and show you the truth in Him
(Luke 11:10-13) "For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

His best friend was a famous Christian by the name of j. R. R. Tolkien

I believe in God simply because I refuse to believe this universe simply sprang into existance at some point in time. There is a beginning and an end, the Alpha and Omega, and we call it God.

This could be but i don't believe it's like the bible says at all. There is a beginning, the end and propably a new beginning. People thought many things in the universe were impossible but now they are proven possible.
People seem to think they are the center of everything and someone out there is watching US.
I thinks that is silly in a universe like this. If believing something like that makes someones life better then it's ok. People have a need to believe in something that helps them. I also believe just not in god like the bible says.

If you read anything in this lengthy post, read the 2nd paragraph please!!! It is innately in my mind and soul that God exists and I know that all of the good in my life would not have happened without a relationship with God. But I know this will not do it for an ex/current atheist.

I started typing this big story about how to convince you that God exists and is the way but thats not the right thing to do I dont think.

I have been a christian all my life. But recently I have been having some hard times with anxiety and it even brought my faith in to question at sometimes. I wasnt denying God's existence but I was just doing what alot of humans do in wondering. Just how do I know that God exists. Well for one, I have accepted that God's word is the way so this next point was easy for me to accept. I go to church and sure enough- the sermon is about how to be sure that God exists (no joke- and coincidentally or not, i feel that i can apply the sermon to my life every week but thats here nor there and not one the "miracle cards" that ill pull on you lol). My pastor said that God said in the bible that if ONE single word..ONE word can be 100% dis-proven that you can fully disregard the bible. And this is a fact (all biases aside as honest as I can be to my knowledge) that not one word in the bible has ever, ever been 100% dis-proven. There are theories and that is it. Not to knock on other religions but the bible is the ONLY book in the world to have achieved this to date. Not one thing has ever been dis-proven out of the Holy Bible ever. No matter how far-fetched somethings may seem (admitted- some things are crazy to me too lol), not one thing has ever been disproven. Ever. The bible was written over the course of (i think) some 4000 years (could be wrong but either way it was a long time). And still over the course of all that time, any other story would get twisted in SOME small way like the kids game telephone. But over all that time- not ONCE not ONCE has a single word been fully dis-proven without a shadow of a doubt and all biases aside.

Try it for yourself. Tonight- pray and really mean the words you are saying. Ask God to come in to your life. Tell God that you do not know him but you want to start building an eternal relationship. Just know that this does not mean that all your problems will be solved tomorrow because that is probably not gona happen. All I can tell you is that when you try this- mean it with all of your heart. And be to honest you might not know what that means or how that feels. That does not matter. Keep doing it. Do it as much as you like and I assure you that your life will be better off. Im not saying God is gona hand you a winning lottery ticket and I dont want to speak on behalf of God lol but I know that in someway if not in all aspects, you will be better off. But you have to try to build the relationship. And admit that you dont know God and that you want to get to God. Joel Osteen said some inspiring words in that God does not respond well to "Lord I have all these problems and everything is bringing me down etc" but instead something like "God I know the greatness of your love is all that I need and simply by having you in my life and in my soul will supply me with all the tools I need to survive."

I'm an atheist who is always searching for the truth. I'm glad to see someone who is searching places high and low to find the truth. Keep up the good work!

But until i find sufficient evidence i'm left searching.

you are not an atheist, you are an agnostic like me.

I personally like the idea of God because people can get strength faith and hope from it. I think those are good resources to have.
Yet when it comes to religion in most cases people also accept religious rules and are handicapped by them. The religious fanatism (like no eating certain meat (which is perfectly fine if you do it for a good reason), or wearing certain clothes, or disapproving of other religions or even dooming them) is what i really dislike about any religion.

I dont know if god exists, if he doesnt and i believe. I win ressources.
If he does. I also win.
Why shouldnt you believe?

But you shouldnt believe literally in the bible nor in any other kind of religion, because that is not faith, it is blind (and s.v.v. stupid) faith. If you are offended by that lemme ask you 2 questions?
1) Have you ever read the bible?
2) Do you take every word literally? :D

Or let me ask you another good (rethorical) question:
If you believe, does it matter if God exists?
