but seriously, its not like they translate a new english version of the bible from an older english version. they use the same manuscripts in every version translated. this is why new versions are more accurate than old ones. typically speaking, there are more manuscripts from which to translate as time progress because more have been found over the decades. nothing is "lost" or even edited. its either reworded to reflect modern lingo, or updated to reflect a more accurate meaning of the word.
and if you study the bible long enough(as in, for decades), rewording a sentence wont change the meaning behind it.
That may be true but I believe that the changes have already been made long ago so everything now is just edits on top of old edits. My belief lies on the basis that the Qur'an and Muhammad were sent to bring the people of the book back to righteousness and the straight path so the Qur'an is the last and most accurate holy book, in my opinion of course. This may make me biased in this discussion but just giving my view. If you're content with your Bible and the message is good and proper then by all means follow it, I'm not saying you shouldn't, anything that tells someone to do good and keep good morals is fine by my book.

why does the version of the bible matter -_.
Because there isn't just a Bible, there's multiple versions, unlike the Qur'an, there's only one Qur'an. I feel it makes the message more valid.
