The "He" in question could be replaced with any other individual and/or deity and the statement would hold equal weight, thus it is rhetorical garbage.

Well, it'd be a pretty obvious lie if it was applied to a dude, since dudes neither have understanding beyond [an implied human] comprehension, nor power that is absolute.

It could apply to other gods, depending on definition, but it's sort of defining an omnipotent and omniscient being, so how's that surprising? :P

Exactly what's the funny part?  I don't get it.

Just being snarky because you're all hostile about religion and disagree with the statement?

to be honest, yes.

is this an issue?

Only in the sense that it makes you look like a knee-jerking, moronic bigot who just wants to talk smack for the sake of talking smack and seeming like you matter.

does it really?

i dont see it that way. the way i see it is like this; i found a comment humorous due to the fact that i god is put up as a figure of all knowing, and all powerful...yet an all knowing god still cannot help but keep classification and geological mistakes out of the very text which defines his "existence".

Yep.

Though I'm sure that it'll get you a back slap or two from similarly ignorant folks. :)

Your edit is stupid enough to ignore that divine text is inspired by God, but still has to be interpreted by man in order to make its way to written down.

Tsk tsk. You'd think that someone who had spent as much time as you raging against religion would have actually learned something about it.

Some people may wish to ask themselves why they get so agitated when Biblical Scripture is posted when they neither believe in God nor that the Scripture is inspired by Him .

I am not talking about the generic reasons people always come up with but rather the root of the personal agitation .
