One of my friends is gay. She has a girlfriend and they like to drink a lot in bars. They make out all the time in public. She has multiple tattoos and piercings. These are some of the sin that us Christians know of. She is always trying to get her friends to come to Bible study on Facebook.
I'm not sure if she is hosting it or if a church is but how do I tell her nicely that she needs to repent and this "false" god she is following is not the real Christ that us Christians know of. The other day she quit talking to me after I asked her if she skipped over the whole book of Leviticus. How do I tell her these things nicely without making her get angry.

Christians aren't under Levitical law, so pointing her to Leviticus doesn't help anything. However, there are plenty of New Testament verses that speak out against sexual immorality, including same sex. I think it's important to remember that homosexuality is not the only sin in the world, a lot of Christians like to focus on that rather than the sin in their own lives. In the end though, if she doesn't listen to the Bible then there isn't anything you can do except pray for her.

/e: Love and encouragement go a long way too. You don't have to support her actions to be a supportive person. Chances are she knows that what she's doing is wrong, and she just doesn't like to be judged about it, which is why she gets angry.

Also tattoos and piercings aren't sin, as mentioned previously, we aren't under Levitical law and that verse is taken out of context anyway.

I would encourage you to read the book "Caring Beyond The Margins" by Guy Hammond, you can find it on Amazon.

exactly right what our friend told!

We as Christians have an obligation to advise our fellow always relying on the law of love.
talk with caring, understanding and never judge them, because each person has his true moment of awakening to knowledge.

Jesus always advised us he never forced at some point to anything.

Jesus will save her, eventually

if you want to do something, tell her: "Jesus will save you, eventually".

My question is if the new testament comes into play here (I have never been taught or liked the way the new testament was worded) why is tattoos have any part of this? According to Revelation 19:11-16 it says:

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

What exactly do I take away from this? I see how in Leviticus 19:28; "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." it condemns tattoos. But also in the bible it says if you marry someone who isn't a virgin it isn't a real marriage and is condemned. (paraphrasing because I can't find the original verse)

And he shall take a wife in her virginity. A widow, or a divorced woman, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry. But he shall take as his wife a virgin of his own people, Leviticus 21:13-14

So according to this me and my current girlfriend could never get married if she wasn't a virgin when I met her? I feel that people take bits and pieces out of the bible and twist them into the beliefs people spew today. While I don't condone homosexuality is it really any of our business? Quite a lot of Christians believe gambling is a sin. Case in point would any of you think twice to tell me I'm committing a sin by some standards for me betting FG on a football game and try and save me before it's too late?
