Really amazing book. Don't bother posting until you've read it from front to back.

What's the book about?

From Amazon.com:

Product Description
“This book is a journey for truth.”—Samuel Kader Sr., Pastor, Community Gospel Church, Dayton, Ohio, Openly Gay, Openly Christian, Leyland Publications.
Am I going to hell because I am gay? Is homosexuality a sin? Should I remain celibate my entire life?

If you or someone you love is struggling with these issues, this book is for you. Follow Reverend Elaine Sundby’s journey as she takes us on her personal quest for truth and self-acceptance—a path that eventually led her to enter the ministry. Reverend Sundby was determined to discover God’s plan for her and equally determined to do what was right in the eyes of God, without taking “the easy way out.”

Simple to understand, yet rooted in spiritual truth, Calling the Rainbow Nation Home has the potential to heal—to heal the battered soul of the Christians who are struggling to reconcile their homosexuality with their faith, and to heal their relationships with those who love them and want to understand.

A new era is just beginning in the gay Christian community, as thousands begin to realize that God loves us all just as we are.

There is no such thing as a gay christian. True born again christian's are not gay. True born again christian's will accept the way of how God made it to be a man, and a woman together so that they can be fruitful, and multiply(you know, have sexual intercourse, and create children). Yes, God loves us, but also rebukes and chastens his children(Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.) Just read Romans Chapter 1 starting with verse 18.

Romans Chapter 1: verses 18-32
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Thank you for sharing your opinion, but you are wrong. If you read that book, you will understand why you are wrong. God does work with homosexuals, and He does not love them any less than heterosexuals. I encourage you to read that book, then post your thoughts here after.

God does not love the homosexual any less than the heterosexual you are correct. God also loves the non-Christian the same as the Christian and hopes that everyone will come into a relationship with him. However, being in a relationship with God means we repent of our old lives and turn to Christ. You cannot be controlled by sin and be controlled by God at the same time. Choosing to have ongoing sin in your life (homosexuality) is choosing to rebel against God and therefore choosing to separate yourself from him. God is love, but he is also just. Anyone who chooses to have ongoing sin in their life risks eternal separation from God. That truth is the same whether you are homosexual or heterosexual. Black or white. Sin separates.

So it's a sin to be black?
Read the story about Peter and his issue with the Gentiles.
Or even better still, read the book!
This book will discuss what you just mentioned and then some.
I'm not here to start a war.

I never said it was a sin to be black.. I said sin separates you from God and it doesn't matter your sexual orientation or race. Many times those who are against homosexuality fail to recognize ongoing sin in their life and choose not to deal with it. I have read many books on this subject both for and against. The bible is pretty clear on the issue so reading other people's jaded interpretations is not something I take to heart.

You're not starting a war. This subject is a hot topic in the church and outside the church today. People will vary on opinion with this subject but ultimately we have to let the word of God take precedence.

Me neither! i am not here to have a war, but lets restle with the issue.

New International Version (©2011) Mathew 4:4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

EVERY word, not from another man or woman's mouth, not another interpretation but EVERY word, the way it is written.

I assume that the purpose of you posting here is not to go against christianity but to for it in another way.
Take to heart of Jesus' words.
I highly doubt that arguing whether gay is good or bad, in christian term, is a waste of time in this thread. This is due to that
i am asuming everyone posting here are in relationship with God and read his words daily.
In addition, if you consider some part of God's words true and some part of God's word as untrue or morally wrong, I am sorry to say this but
that action or belief is the start of another religion or so called a cult. This is the case, because you are fixing or so changing what he said.

From the book:

...

I am comforted by the fact that we are hardly the first group of people to face such a difficult situation. Jesus himself was rejected by almost all of the prominent spiritual and political leaders of his day. Their interpretation of Scripture was skewed enough by their own biases and misconceptions that they did not recognize the Messiah when he came. Nor were they willing to change when the truth stood right before their eyes. They expected the Messiah to come at the head of a great liberating army -- one that would throw off the yoke of the Roman oppressors and, in turn install them as the rightful leaders of this new kingdom.
Instead they got Jesus. His triumphant entrance into Jerusalem was on the back of a donkey. His army consisted of a random mixture of women, children, and men of little or no rank. Overthrow the Romans? Jesus told them to pay their taxes, and worse yet, to respect and pray for their Roman governors! Installing them into leadership positions? Jesus told them that the "many who are first shall be last, and the last first" (Mark 10:31). To top it off, instead of accolades, Jesus saved his harshest criticism for these same religious leaders calling them "whitewashed tombs" (Matt. 23:27-28) and "hypocrites" (Matt. 23:13) who had "neglect[ed] justice" and love (Luke 11:42).
To me the most disquieting and humbling fact is that these Jewish religious leaders knew the Scriptures far better than you or me. Yet they totally missed Jesus.

...

Pretty powerful words, if I must say. And true.

Remember Peter's dream, where God told him to eat "unclean" meat? Peter wanted to reject it, but God told Peter to not call things unclean that God called clean. That was what these first Christians, including Peter and other Apostles, did. They thought the Gentiles were unclean and unfit for salvation. They thought that Jesus' gift of salvation was for the Jews only. But that was false.

Homosexuals today are to heterosexuals as the Gentiles back then were to the Jews.

It's a good book. Everyone should read it. ET Sundby is a gifted woman.
