This is my first song out of the studio, a local studio. Nothing super professional but it was fun.

Tell me what ya think fellow brothers.

I like it! I really enjoy that it's not filled with tons of reverb, yet still captures your folk style! Very cool :) Hope you see what I meant now, after having the opportunity to do this recording. Nice work man, keep it up!

I still think it needs some work. The mix volume is too low and I think it still needs some tiny reverb on the guitar and vocals because the mix seems so empty. But what do ya think?

He only put reverb like 1-2 things in the mix and they just supposed to be subtle in the mix.

I'm gonna get some things fixed up on it becasue I think it could be better, but did you hear anything? I know some drums beats were off and the intro seems too empty.

There were a few parts that we a bit off, and the vocals did seem a bit quiet at spots, but overall I thought the sound mix was well done. The drums are a little flat, if anything, those would be something I'd focus on, to get a crisper sound, and maybe make it quieter to make sure it's not a focal point of the song. However, adding additional reverb would not improve the quality in my opinion, but decrease it. :)

Your vocals (other than volume/mix issues) sounded great without the reverb, you don't need it! :)

Yeah it was mainly the guitar that I thought needed some reverb. And your right about the drums, they didn't have enough mics to properly mic the entire thing, but now that you mention it I think a 2-3k boost would be nice for the snare and toms.

Most of the problems are a source problem with the room and performances.

I'm gonna setup an album soon and you can buy them and download them once I do.

I have 8 tracks so far. I think I'll be happy with 9-10 and then I'll release my first album.

Sounds good, luckily for you after my re-dedication to Christ I will no longer illegally download music and will gladly purchase your album! Don't hurt the working man though! XD

Yeah, I don't download music anymore either. I realize how much it hurts musicians and artists and as an aspiring musician I don't want to do the right thing.
