You guys think it's okay for Christians to smoke weed?
I SAY YES! I'm going to keep my reasoning short, LMK what you guys think.

The Bible says to follow the laws of the land (Give to God what is God's, give to Caesar what is Caesar's... <something like that>. So weed is illegal, but my only excuse for smoking and not caring about the law is that weed became illegal for ALL the wrong reasons. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and blah blah (many other people) all grew and smoked weed. Weed only became illegal in the 1900's because the lumber industry was almost bankrupt. Cannabis at the time was cheaper for paper production than lumber, so lobbyist helped paint a bad picture of weed.

Next. Our body is God's temple. How many fat Christians do you know? Too many. So I don't like it when people use the argument of you shouldn't smoke because it's bad for your body and your body is God's temple. More people die from heart disease than from smoking weed.

And lastly. Alcohol poisoning kills. There are many types of drunks... sad, happy, rage, abusive, etc.
For weed, there is only hunger.

If Jesus was next to me what would he tell me? I don't know... what do you think?

The sobriety issue is definitely a strong indicator of NO to weed.

How about this though: Let's say you can control the amount you smoke. You only smoke enough to be relaxed (because honestly pot heads don't get high like a first-timer). Many Christians drink a beer or two to relax. A puff or two helps relax you as well, and can still allow you to function.

Have you listened to David Crowder stoned? It's SCARY when high! This will sound weird but I like praying when I'm high. I feel more in tune with God and really appreciate the beauty of life.

Personally I am against alcohol and drug use (always have been always will be) It is the right choice for me and I feel that it is right in the eyes of God.

I view both the same therefore I have no issue with your logic towards the topic. Moderation is always best.

Thanks for the advice Beowulf. I asked many people this question, but I like your responses the best because they are clearly rooted in the Bible.
