I'll just start off with what I've lost:
My brother died from progressive myoclonic epilepsy, as well as my sister. My dad committed suicide. Then my mom remarried an alcoholic who wasted literally all of our money, now he's gone and we're going bankrupt. I'm scared, and it doesn't seem like God has ever been here for me before, no matter how much I need it, and how much faith I have, I lose everything, and gain nothing. Same with my mom. I guess I'm just posting in search of reassurance or something..

You have had a unfortunate life. I am not going to act like I know what you are going through because I do not. All I can tell you is there is someone who loves you unconditionally, Christ. As terrible as it sounds, God is putting you through these things for a reason. Seek support through a church family. I will tell you, some of my best friends are christians and help me through my tough times. Pray about it too, God wants you to have a relationship with you.

If you need any further guidance pm me. I want to help you.

-James 1:2-3-
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

This is one of the hardest things to do
my problems can in no way compare to what you have gone through and I am truly sorry for all that one have had to endure
I 2nd everything that Isaac said
I just hope that things start to look up for you fam

stand firm brethren

-Numbers 6:24-26-
The LORD bless you, and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.

I don't think I can begin to say "I been there." That is pretty out there and I feel for you. I'm led to offer the following, for you to consider and feel free to PM me anytime.

1 John 4:18 (King James Version) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

John 10:10 (King James Version) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

May the Peace of the Lord, reign in your heart. <3

God's Sovereignty is in work. It's really hard but hit the nail right on the head...seek support from fellow brothers/sisters in your church and just truly rely on God. He is the only reason why any of us make it through things.

God isn't putting him through these things. God's heart breaks because of situations like this. It's the brokenness and fallenness of the world that is putting him through these situations. God doesn't cause bad things to happen.

Greeley, find courage and perseverance in the story of Job. Keep the faith and you will be rewarded greatly. I will be praying.

I think God might allow things to happen for us to draw near to Him though. He doesn't cause it but He does allow bad things to happen so that we can fully rely on Him so that His strength is revealed.

Exactly. While he doesn't cause them, he also doesn't prevent them.
