I personally believe that the bible is divinely inspired and absolutely perfect in its original syntax.

Do any of you struggle with any bible verses in the English versions?

Have any of you found any apparent contradictions within?

I would love some challenging subjects to research =)

Thank you for posting your thoughts <3

In all sincerity,

1 Cor. 15:40-42

What does it mean by Celestial bodies and Terrestrial bodies? How do these relate to the Sun, moon and stars? Why is it compared to the resurrection of the dead?

celestial bodies = stars
terrestrial bodies = planets (aka solid ground)

he is creating a dichotomy between different "bodies" in existence and how truly different by nature they can be.

the point is being made that when we are resurrected or raptured our bodies will be changed from the physical bodies we currently have into the spiritual body that christ evidenced after his resurrection.

"Thou Shall Not Kill"

Deuteronomy 7:1-4 (New International Version, ©2010)

Deuteronomy 7
Driving Out the Nations

1 When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations—the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you— 2 and when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally.[a] Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. 3 Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, 4 for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the LORD’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.

Deuteronomy 20:16-18 (New International Version, ©2010)

16 However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely destroy[a] them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the LORD your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the LORD your God.

God is light. There was light before there was the sun. The sun is a reflection of God's light in the same way that the moon is a reflection of the sun's light. In hebrew the word day is used variously; to refer to the time from sunrise to sunset, the 24 hour period that we consider to be a standard day, and a generally described period of time ("in the day of noah" or something)

this is quite simply a misleading english translation. kill should most definitely be rendered murder.

The bible doesn't state how long a day a day is when it comes to Genesis but this may help to understand better time before time was
2 Peter
Chapter 3

King James Bible
8 -- But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

there are many different translation's to the bible and many of the new one's have started making them user friendly taking out names such as Satan and Lucifer calling him the star of the morning to make him seem less bad not sure why

hope this helps

Everything that God has done was followed by "and he saw that it was good". I seem to have missed this line at the creation of humanity as we know it. Twice. Thrice. Four times. 983759876 times. Why is this not said?
Is humanity God's flaw? :\
