Okay I really don't know much about this but I'm curious (and what I think is probably wrong so hopefully I can find out)

Okay, so to be simple

be good = go to heaven
be bad = go to hell

If God creates everything then why does he create evil people and why does he allow them to go to hell?
Or, if Satan is what brings them to hell, are they being punished? If so, why would he punish evil, if he's evil?

Sorry this probably will just sound stupid because I know nothing about this stuff but I've really just been wondering about it a lot lately.

Also if I ever just need to talk to nice people and look for advice/encouragement is it okay to post here? Because posting in general chat definitely won't do anything for me.

first of all you dont get into heaven by being you you are acceptted into heaven from believeing that Christ came to Earth died on the cross and rose the 3rd day and by accepting christ into your life and repenting from sin. you must have a personal relationship with christ

and also God created evil so there was something to overcome. what would David be without Goliath? the world would be too simple and boring and there would be no conflict without evil.
there has to be a challenge and thats why it was made. so you could overcome, resist temptation and be different

Some of the nicest, most caring and giving people I know dont believe in god. I mean they don't really believe in life after death, so it doesn't matter to them. But from what has been posted in this thread. Does this mean that these good people will be sent to hell?

This was not meant to be offensive in any way. Just trying to figure out answers like the OP.

you can be the most righteous and loving person in the world, or you can be a crack dealer whose killed 7 people.. it doesnt matter.

This might sound ridiculous, but its still sin, because even though the person is righteous, they have idols that are not God. (tv, computer, etc.)

God did not create evil. My God is the author of only GOOD.
Let's break it down further - Sin or evil = going against what God wills. Am I right?
How can God go against his own will? He cannot sin. If God creates evil, he is a sinner.
Let's break it down even further.
God created man with a will. With this will, man can decide to be good or evil. By evil we mean he sins. Sin = going against God's will.
Man can choose to sin therefore is evil. God did not make him to be that way, he wants man to love him and follow his will.
But how can he prove that love is real unless he gives him the choice to obey or disobey.
God and sin are separate, he cannot stand it, it is filth to him, even when Jesus took our sins on the cross God the father turned his back.

Satan is not the one who sends them to hell. Hell was originally made for the devil and his angels.
Those that fell from heaven since the beginning. Now, Satan roams the world enticing humans because obviously he hates you, me, and every human alive. He hates the fact that God loves us and has a special place for us.
He would do anything to ruin that bond between a man and God. Satan is smart, he knows how humans think and how easily we can sin. He is said to be the most powerful creation God has ever created. Although this being true, he cannot touch a hair on our heads because God does not allow it.
Satan is no contest for God. End of story. Satan knows the end, he knows he is going to lose and be cast into hell, but his pride and arrogance keeps him from realizing this truth and continues to wreak as much havok on the world as possible.
So why is he still around? That is something I do not understand fully, neither can I mentally comprehend while on this earth.
It may be the same answer to why God has allowed you, me, and everybody else living in sin to continue to roam this world.

Being good does not get you to heaven, it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ, once you have sinned once in your life, you have already tainted the whole law, you are unperfect, unholy, and deserve to go to hell
Jesus said that he is the way the truth and the life, no man can go to the father but by him
sinners cannot enter heaven, therefore you cannot enter heaven, BUT!
realizing that you are a sinner, that you cannot save yourself because you are a sinner, Jesus lived a sinless life on earth, he took your place
he died for you, once you have faith to believe this ask him to come into your life and show himself to you
this is how you are born again, you must put your faith in jesus and him alone, nothing else!

Why did God create Satan?
