I hear the question, "Why do you believe in God?" asked so many times.
So I decided to ask, "Why would you not want to believe in God?"
Do you like to live in hopelessness? Fear that there is nothing after this life? If I knew there was nothing to come after this life, I'd be insane!
The attitude that "Life is life, it sucks, you live it and then you die" is absolutely horrible!
If this is the case, Why even live in the first place? Why do good deeds? Why do evil deeds?
What is the point of your living if there is nothing after this?

Not everyone forms beliefs/makes decisions based on what might be pleasing to imagine instead of by appealing to evidence or rationality.

Is there evidence to life after death? Is there evidence of nothing after death? How can this be based on evidence? how can anyone base evidence or rationality on something that cannot be proven?
It is by faith that I choose that there is a God and Heaven after life. Just like some people choose to have faith that there is nothing after life.

It's not about what you want to believe in. It's about what you can actual conclude and believe in. Until I get 100% proof in something I will remain agnostic. Believe me I WANT to believe in God, I WANT to be successfully converted, but it never works. I have scientific explanations for a peaceful afterlife and so I don't need a deity to believe in. An afterlife in which you lie in stasis, your consciousness free to roam the next plain. If you live your life well, you will have a good, peaceful conscience to enjoy in the afterlife. if the opposite then vice versa.

Believe me I want to... But it just won't work for me. Like I say though, I am agnostic. I consider that the possibility is there and I do not detest the belief in God. Infact it brings a world of God to this blue orb. Yes, it brings war. But it brings peace, hope, law, and reason to be a good-fulfilling person. Imagine a world where we were CERTAIN there is no afterlife? It would be chaos, anarchy. And that I can find reason to believe in a scientific afterlife that actually fits the bible's teachings brings me that step closer to believing. I believe if God is real he CAN be proven through science and what we know of this world. We just need to dig deeper. Science can explain everything as many scientists have saying. If God truly exists, one day even realists will believe him as we will prove him through means that even realists and atheists cannot deny.

I hope this was enlightening for you. Also, I'm 15. I think alot. Please ponder over what have said, and I bid you farewell.

Not all atheists believe in nothing after death. There are scientific explanations for a stasis in which you look over your life repeatedly, explaining a need to do good deeds etc. It would be the perfect afterlife, everyone would have to do good deeds and you would have a reason to fulfill your life as YOU would want to and not as some deity would want you to.

Also, I believe in an afterlife. Want to know why? Because nothing is impossible to comprehend. Everyone has tried it and everyone has found it impossible it's part of our genetic memory, ancestors considering the possibility of no afterlife and they couldn't comprehend it.

As long as there is hope in this world life will continue, but you have to understand that there must be atheism aswell as religion. If God was undeniable there would be just as little reason to live life as if there was nothing afterwards as we would all know we had to do good in our life and everything would be perfect law causing stasis throughout the universe. Either proving God wrong or right would mean the end of humanity. As soon as he/she/it is proven scientifically (if he/she/it ever is) then everyone would go straight to the afterlife and the Earth would cease to continue.

I hope this can bring some understanding to the nature of this matter to you guys. Keep fighting your side and one day you may win the battle.

Since you are speaking from your perspective, I think that seeing it from the Bible's perspective is the best way to attempt to talk to you without offending your beliefs or you, but I gota warn you the bible is no respector of persons and will easily offend man's thinking. I do believe taht it is the Word of God so it is true. This is where many people do not believe God because they do not believe in the Bible to be true. Even though even I ask why is there a book that has been preserved for so many years, that gives historical accounts that practically mirrors the history of the world's and gives scientific fact that even scientists are still trying to find. There is no other book that has been preserved, written by 40 different men over the span of 2,000 years, and survived to be in my lap today. And even with all that included in a book that is small enough to be held in one hand and giving so much information about man's history, science, life lessons, it speaks about the nature of God, who is incomprehendable. Now, I don't expect you do absolutely believ in the Bible now just because of all these things that i have said, because obviously, the bible isn't a science or history book, but a book of Faith. Those who choose to believe can understand it are those who have accepted Christ as their saviour, no credit to them asking christ, but because they had Child like faith, meaning that they did not need science or history or rational thought to believe that Christ will save them but because there was no other way and because they could not do save themselves, and to what is Christ saving us from? Hell ofcourse

the fact that you do not believe in hell tells me that you probably do not believe in the Bible, because Hell is mentioned by Jesus more times than he mentions heaven, THAT'S ALOT! this means that Jesus is very concerned of people going to hell

God does not work with the whole world as a whole, he works with each individual soul. Each person has a soul and a choice. Meaning, that proving that God is right or wrong would not be the end of the world, but the end result of the individual.

Look, all i'm asking you to do is... basically, Call out to God, ask him "will you make yourself real to me" i promise you he will show himself to you, not exactly in the way that you or i would want him to come, but he will come
i'm not asking you to jump off the agnostic wagon and pray and start reading the bible, but i am asking that you be sensitive to this, i promise you God wants you to come to him, he is wanting to be in relationship with you, HE LOVES YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE

Religion is a man's idea of how he should praise a diety. Whether it be God, Allah, or himself. Since it is MAN's IDEA, it is flawed, because nobody is perfect.
Your relationship with Jesus Christ should not be a religion, but a relationship. A relationship which places GOD's IDEA in place of your own.

Have you ever considered the possibility that God is an alien? Just mix the bible in with the andromedan theory and it is perfectly believable. Makers shifted into a higher frequency of existence. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."

Either way, I now believe in the bible whether it is God, aliens or not. It has knowledge and advice to share with us and I believe that was why it was truly created. Not to tell us how to live or how to be one with God. But to give us helpful advice and knowledge.
