imagine this...
you believe that the Creator of the universe, of the earth, of science itself, of humans, of everything...
that He wrote a book directly to mankind about the absolute best way to go about living this life...
that this book was flawless and applicable and very useful... but it was written in another language.
wouldn't you want to learn that language? wouldn't you want to read that book every day?
I believe that the bible is our instruction manual for living best, how to get our maximum satisfaction in this life!

Maybe your are posting this to tell me that I need to read this book more often? The spirit works in misterious ways, and he knew I would read this thread.

And He knew I would be directed to this thread by your recent post and thus allow me to read the original post and gain in spirtual backing.

Amazing how The Spirit works.....so many people so many miles away all praying and thinking of each other....POWER IN PRAYER!

Bible says children, people who do anything wrong etc should be mutilated, beaten against stone etc. 99% of The Bible is shit, the message you want people to take from it is one of tolerance, peace, friendship, love, helping one another etc but like I said the rest is crap =\ What language was The Bible originally written in by the way?

that is the old covenant, read up on the new covenant, its been around 2000 or so years, would've thought you'd heard about it by now =P

The Bible is a book or morals, nothing more.

Most of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew, some I believe was written in Aramaic. The New Testament was written in Greek.

As for your first statement, it is the difference between the Old and New Covenant (or Old and New Testament, respectively). With the birth, life, and death of Jesus Christ, the punishments for breaking the laws are null and void. AKA: you're not going to get stoned for sleeping with your friend's husband, but it's still sin.
