i started playing diablo 4 4 seasons ago it was the first time id ever played a diablo or any arpg/diablo-like

ive logged more hours in D4 on a single character in a single season than i have put into any game in my entire. in 4 seaosns ive logged more hours by almost 3x the second most played game i have.

so apparently this genre is for me

in that 4 seasons ive ranked top 30 or higher in helltides and often top 5-10 as the build i chose for those seasons but i know from what ive been told and hear of poe2 its a different beast

Give more best tips for a beginner without having to explain the entire concept/mechanic of the tip ill understand it once i get into the game here very soon as i close out my d4 season with some final pits and and helltides submition.

Poe2 is cool you gonna love it poe is the game i spent the most time in i believe and if u jump now into it you gonna have a hsrd time too m7ch to understand ,but as your knowloedge grow your fun will too

im debating doing some research on classes and builds before playing but part of me also kind of just wants to jump in blind but then i think if someone in d4 said that id advise them not to play like that?

Play SSF, trade-league is broken, way too many dupe exploits that's been abused in the pre-season, kinda ruins the experience if you play trade-league as a first timer.

ill look into that dont even knowwhat ssf is haha still trying to hit a max pit for this seasoon d4 :/

Solo self found, no trading. Ironman

you know what after all the amount of trader sim ive done/do in d4 i might do ssf in poe2. like this season i found a BIS ring in undercity a few weeks into the season i had already built up 90b gold i put the ring on dtrade out of curiiousity nd within 5 minutes a bid war went from 80b me having to dump my 90b onto my brother take in another 99b in gold and another ~600b worth of runes and gems and i was like well this season is over if i want to just grab all the best gear now and then run the seaosnal progression

but then to realize a few days later all those stacks were from the armory dupe and then realized id probably sell them cause i saw the value tanking

wound up finding the gear i had been using up till the end when i figured might as well just 4ga my uniques

speding a day sitting in cerrigar selling gems like i was a drug dealer got old fast and instead just went back to playing normal i would just drop gems and BAC runes and stacks of boss mats randomly when i in the social lobby groups and give low level players gold and gear for free

In current state of the game

There are some meta builds wich are very overtune
Some are ok but yeah you can jump blind
For first play trough i would avoid maces skills and mace

When in end game grind , there is no [better strategy]
Just do what you enjoy and it will pay off

Compared to d4 where the meta would be to spam the same dungeon over and over

Start is good

Starting the game in trade league won't teach you anything about the game unless it's a fresh league start.
And you're completely wrong, all GG items you can think of has been duped over and over.
Starting out on trade league is probably the quickest way to make the game shit.

Do SSF lvl 1-90, if you hit a hard wall you can always migrate over to trade league, migration only goes one way so this would be the only option for people who want to experience the game in a good and (for first timers) challenging way.

Like I said, trade league is broken. You'll see/feel/experience ZERO character progression when you get get full leveling gear for a few exalted.
I mean, a GG weapon for lvl 11 gets U to 28, the 28 tier to 60, 55 tier to 80.
Youll never see the step by step improvements for each piece if you quadruple your power each tier.

Starting an arpg 3 months into the season I truly do believe that SSF is the only way to get the authentic experience for a first timer.

Sure, if you already have 2-3 high level chacters trade league is an option. But he won't learn anything about the progression tiers, and first season starting in less than a month, he will be completely lost if he based his first experience on buying stuff.
