Tldr: dude thought he was buying a unid astramentis and paid 75 divs for the shitty unique ammy
So I was helping out another user gear up right, getting him piece by piece equipment for his character (really annoying to deal with really, no respect for my time and takes forever to respond to the gear I show him if he wants it or not, let alone the risk of buying on trade then the very possibility of holding an item I don't need). So at some point he mentions he will be getting more fg for Astra right? Well I go check on trade site when lo and behold a unid astramentis is on sale for 75 divs! Tell the dude about it and he hands me the 75 divs to buy it right? I pm the seller, he invites me to party, opens trade then puts an ammy in while I'm putting in 75 divs. Before hitting the trade button info a double take and look at the amulet more and simultaneously Google what a unid astramentis looks like, dude starts saying "hurry up" and stuff like " I gotta go quick" then before I get to fully inspect it, he cancels then leaves saying he got another buyer. I let it go at that thinking that as usual me hunting for bargains end up with people pm'ing for the item I ask for at an additional cost since sudden wave of pm's due to incorrect pricing
Now this is where it starts to get sad
I tell the dude I failed on procuring the Astra and that somebody else had most definitely bought it out from me, I gave back the divs and said the hunt is still on. A few moments later he pm's me excited about his "cheap astramentis" he bought unid for 75 divs. At that point though after a bit of reflection I remembered a similar old scam back in some other MMO I played and realized that buddy might of been scammed (as I was almost, not really I was doing actual research on the piece). I asked him "did [player name] sell you that?, he replies yes why? I just send a "oh no........" To him.
Now the dude picks up immediately what I was implying here and id'd the Astra, disappointment ensues. He even tried blaming me by saying why I didn't warn him about the trade (I was unaware he was doing that trade at all lol). Since I was ultimately not affected, all is well with rainbows and sunshine and best part, a shit retarded story that to this day me and my brother laughs about heartily (2025, still getting scammed by the old bait and switcheroo)
Knowing this shit actually happens, I now think that unid Astras are a lucrative business
