I started following this guide

I then realized that you cannot respec ascendancy and I prefer to later in endgame make a demon form build, like this one:

now my question is: should I keep on following the maxroll guide? even if I take the infernalist ascend?
All the other levelling builds I can find are minion based, I don't like to go that route
