Just traded a jewel to a Chinese player this morning for 135 divs. Deposited to stash. Then poofed.

Anyone else experienced this lately?

I had this happen to me yesterday which is forcing me to take a break from the game.

It sounds like they have a vulnerability which allows someone access to stash/ items

I had divines go missing and items gone worth 100+ divines each.

It seems to be targeted after a sale of a large item

i had a similar situation. traded amulet for like 5 divs week ago, then dude was like in my ho. then his game crashed. then he logged in w8ited and left. and then like 10 minutes after i saw i was missing 5 divs and item. dont know if they were duped or he used some sketchy stuff

Did you have a currency tab? And the only thing missing was the divines?

yeah currency tab. and only same 5 divines missing. had like 9 total that moment

Yep, same with my currency tab. 135 divs, about 18k worth for me. Coping a bit this weekend, but I'll recover eventually, lol.

My first time getting scammed in a game since early d2lod in 2000s. No more non english trades for me from poe2 trade site anymore.

After doing some research, there's no exact cause for this exploit yet.

Some says its a game session hack.

Some people are getting account hacked, and losing valuables from stash and inventory.


Things that might help prevent this:
-Change your poe2 and steam acc pw.
-Turn on 2FA login security in steam.
-Set hideout to friends only, and try to trade in public towns.
-Avoid big value trades from poe2 trade site for a while. Especially from player names you can't read, not in English anyway. Trade at your own risk.


Also, there are ppl who are getting locked by GGG for being hacked after reportig in poe site, for a long time of investigation it seems. On top of big backlog of other reported issues.

If you downloaded POE through Steam............... you are compromised.

This has been happening for awhile. You are only protected if you are poor or SSF and don't trade. GGG is still working on it.
