I didn't make it before the patch, I was doing it during the server restart
I launched it for a moment after the patch and noticed that mobs don't explode on their own (at least on t14-15), and there's definitely no screen clearing effect
when I put on polcirkeln it's great, but it should work without it, right?
I have a weapon with 800DPS and pretty good jewels, should I look for something better in rings?
did they just nerf it or is my damage too weak? 90k on ice strike in the hideout

I didn’t notice anything about Heralds, but I only skimmed through them roughly, so it’s possible I missed it.

I haven’t played this build, so I’m not entirely sure, but I believe your Ascendancy node 'I am the Blizzard...' applies Chill to enemies in an area due to Chilled Ground. That’s likely why the Polcirkeln unique ring synergizes with your Herald.

thanks for your interest in the topic, of course I looked through the patch notes earlier, there was nothing there, but they could have changed the balance without informing about it, even if only because of some bugs,

a question for people who play this build, what DPS do they have in the city and whether the two herald mechanics still work for them

Dps of 160k without polc ring and my heralds proc fine.. i do make sure i keep my charged staff is on.

You need decent amount of cold damage and some -cold res. If you got a staff with much light or fire dmg or overall dps lower 600, without good +cold dmg to attacks rolls on rings you get in trouble procing herald of ice.

They have not nerfed heralds. I am running Deadeye LA with Ice and Thunder. My enemies still explodes and everything is just fine.

If you remove polcirkeln from your character and you fail to freeze and/or explode your enemies,- it mean that without the ring you lack freeze buildup and probably - cold resistance towards your enemies. Hence making you not freeze and exploding em.

Edit: Since you are running monk. A good option on your passive skill tree to gain freeze buildup is "Essence of the Mountain",- and the two minor nodes besides it that also gives a total of +30% freeze build up. If you have not invested in that already.
