Is it possible that I'm completely alone with this opinion? Even though this game is in the EA stage,
I don't understand the hype at all because the game is really bad for me.
The skill system is not well thought out and unnecessarily complicated.
The passive tree looks structured at first glance but offers very limited options for customizing your build.
It feels like I'm playing pre-made builds like in Diablo 4. Even though many skills are available, it feels monotonous.

What do you think about it?

It is indeed just you, game is godlike once you get used to it
Starting slow and different than POE1 but gets way faster and much easier to understand once you are in endgame

Game is really good for me.
Skill system is good, a lot of skills and supports are missing but they are adding them over the months allready. Atleast 2 supports are announced in the last patch notes. There is so much more coming, as you said - EA stage.
Passive Tree is also good. I am playing a Caster Warrior with summons. I never felt like i have to stick to something. Can not compare with D4 imo.

Its overhyped for sure, but also everyone that played POE1 already decided this was going to be the best game ever regardless of the outcome.

It is good, not amazing. There are a few things they could do to make it great which you pointed out.. Add less structured leveling experience, remaking a character feels horrendous and tedious. The skill system isn't too complicated, but it isn't fun/rewarding, I don't like that everyone is basically the same class (D4 has skills down quite well, just lacked variety). Maps are very tunnel visioned and tight, feels like im in a d2 worm cave 24/7. Most unique items are junk, expect for like 1 broken build that requires them, items feel a little lifeless in that aspect.

I will say the combat and balance is fantastic and they really have something with that formula without a doubt.
