Should I be using my orbs and shit or wait until higher level?

if you find a good usable base for crafting go for it

id say use. always upgrade your shit,

use transmute/augmentation/alchemy/regal

buy upgrades with exalts, because slamming isn't efficient at low lvls

early on you can get decent upgrades from gambling, so selling items to npc is better than disenchanting
