joke aside i heard 02am cet, means in about 4 1/2 hours predownload should start, worst case put it in favs and leave pc turned on, will download then automatically

That is preload for standalone GGG client.

Steam taking its sweet ass time, I almost feel as if it's not worth the trouble and should just play it on standalone.

They announced the pre-download would start 18 hours before release.

Then we got 2 hours :eyes:

Again, that is GGG standalone client, not Steam.

Steam doesn't allow pre-load for early access. So unless GGG convinces them to change their rules they never changed before, there is no pre-load for Steam.
