I barely played PoE but i definitely plan to give POE2 more love. Before i make a decision which Early access option to go for,i wanted to ask how important are the points you get with each option?

What are they used for? i heard you buy stash tabs with it but how important are they anway?

u need a stash tab to use the trade site so pretty important

300 points is more than enough to get all the stash tabs you need, IF you can chill and get them when they go on sale (every 3 or 4 weeks).

do not buy *any* basic tabs. specialty tabs (map, currency) are most important, followed by *PREMIUM* tabs / quad tabs for trading

Actually, I just read a topic on Reddit that brings up a major point.

Do NOT buy any stash tabs yet.
If you're gonna be playing poe 2 and not poe 1, it's better to wait until Early Access starts, so you'll know what kind of stashes to buy
There might well be some stashes from poe 1 that's gonna do nothing in poe 2.

That was my plan all along. Because how else am i going to buy stash unless i play the game? 😁

You can assume you'll need a currency tab and a map tab; rest is up to you but probably early POE2 just basic tabs or quad tabs are good; realistically you only need one premium tab at launch so you can just buy non premium tabs for extra space if needed. Also early on you can make mules since you'll have ~24 character slots; over time you'll delete them and replace them with actual characters.

Why make any assumptions at all?

Maps is completely different in poe 2, who's to say they didn't create a new map tab for it, cause of the major differences?

Just wait until Early Access starts.

Assuming you start with 4 tabs I think that's 144 spaces; let's assume 80 types of currency so that's 1/2 of one tab per stack of currency; so if you have 400 transmutes that's 10 slots by itself; basically an entire tab is very cumbersome currency management to start with and then infinitely expands as a problem over time without a currency tab. Maps it would appear you have to run several thousand to get to 3-4 uber bosses and because you absolutely require the item to progress map drop rate essentially has to be guaranteed at least 1 per map so within 400-500 maps all of your tabs will be filled with maps (~150 hours in give or take); there is no scenario where the game is playable without a currency and map tab unless you're an organization autist or colossal dipshit that brags about being an organization autist.
