It's possible that accounts that have already spent 500$ will get automatic early access, and then anyone else who wants early access will have to buy a current supporter pack. But, this is just speculation based on previous betas and early access.

My friend recently started playing. He said "it's so cool that this game is free to play" and I just laughed thinking about the hundreds of dollars I've spent on stash tabs.
